Logistics Manager
Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements logistics strategies in line with regional and global initiatives
- Guides and manages entire project with Senior Stakeholders
- Analyzes, develops and leads implementation of strategic logistics projects
- Serves as main point of contact with the PSL Supply Chain organization on logistics matters.
- Leads team of all Stakeholders, Analysts and Logistics Specialists through processes to conduct internal needs analyses; determine optimal solutions, achieves agreement based on business logic and oversees the implementation.
- Owns the Logistics Practice Manual review and update process for the area of responsibility
- Assists in the development and management of annual Logistics budget
- Leads on-going efforts for establishing and sustaining improvement processes
- Ensures Sarbanes-Oxley logistics issues are precluded from global logistics operations
- Ensures compliance of the logistics organization with policies, procedures, local laws, and global logistics guideline
- Manage queries from local authorities e.g. customs to ensure fair and lawful findings with minimizing company impact.
- Undergraduate degree in Logistics, Engineering or Supply Chain with strong logistics is required;
- Preference for a Masters which adds a business degree;
- Minimum of 8 years experience in logistics with knowledge of at least two of Ocean, Air or Land transport modes;
- Knowledge of Hazardous movements is a requirement;
- Required: IATA / IMDG rules and regulation;
- Safety Act for at least one advanced country;
- Ability to produce and analyze process Flow Diagrams;
- Knowledge of Transportation Management Software and SAP are preferable, as well as Lean Six Sigma knowledge or qualification.
