Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (IDIC) - Lembaga Penjamin Simpanan (LPS) is an independent institution to safeguard the interest of Bank customers in Indonesia and appointed by the Government of Indonesia. The institutions created to insure depositor funds and actively maintain the stability of the banking system as duly authorized. IDIC incorporated in 25 September 2005 and formed on the basis of Law Number 24 of 2004 concerning the Deposit Insurance corporation, whic was subsequently amended through Law Numebr 7 of 2009 (IDIC Law). Based on IDIC Annual Report 2010, membership declined by 1% to 1,990 banks in 2010 from 2,025 banks in 2009, consist of 111 Commercial banks, 11 Islamic banks, 1,720 rural banks, and 148 Islamic Rural Banks.

In line with its vision, to become the deposit insurer entrusted with maintaining the stability of Indonesia' banking system, currently IDIC requires candidates who qualified, credible, accountable and have high integrity and commitment to occupy the following positions:

Legal and Regulatory Director

General Requirements:
  • Minimum age 45 years old and maximum 53 years old on March 1, 2012.
  • Physically and mentally healthy.
  • Minimal S1 in Law and / or S2 degree in Law.
  • Have work experience of at least 2 (two) years as a director or a 3 (three) years, the equivalent of chief of the Division / Group Head in law and regulations.
  • Preferred experience working in a Legal Consultant and / or a lawyer, a legal counsel in the banking industry / capital markets,
  • Preferred, especially for those who master the law of criminal procedure, and have experience working as an attorney experienced in handling litigation and bankin criminal cases and litigation experience.
  • Preferred has a certificate of Laywer from Peradi, training in law, litigation, courts, legal aid and compliance (legal compliance).
  • Mastering in the Banking Law / Banking Law.
  • Fluent in English and Computer literate
  • Never been sentenced for committing criminal acts that have permanent legal force (in kracht).
  • Not tied to the relationship of husband / wife, father / mother-in-law / daughter, child of the / step / adopted children, siblings / step with an employee who has worked in the LPS.
  • Willing to participate in the selection process in accordance with the provisions of LPS
