The Company founded in 1971 under the name of PT Federal Motor and in 2000 rename with PT Astra Honda Motor. The Company supported by 3 plants, located in Sunter (Dies & Mould Division), Pegangsaan (AHM Training Centre) and Cikarang (AHM Parts Centre). PT Astra Honda Motor is a joint venture company between PT Astra International Tbk and Honda Motor Company Ltd. In 2010, AHM sold more than 3.4 milion Honda motorbikes, surpassing its previous sales record in 2008 and growth 26.5% from 2009. Its sales became AHM as a market leader in Indonesia's motorbikes markets. In distributing its products, AHM engages with several main dealers responsible for given regions accross Indonesia. AHM supported by Honda Sales Operation (HSO) and given 30% for all of Honda sales.
